In Cluj, Uncle Bill and Steve alternated teaching one large class while also leading multiple discussion groups (2 advanced, 4 intermediate & 1 for Hungarian Romanians).  They were assisted by local CCC campus staff, an American missionary couple and a multi-national YWAM team.  During the middle weekend, 30 of us traveled by train to Suncuius for a retreat in the mountains.  It was a great time of bonding.  Each night of EC about 40 non-believers attended and 50% of them signed up to participate in a small group follow up study.  “Sorina & Julia said they appreciated so much how Steve applied Scripture to his life in a way that made sense to their life as well.  Mihai has begun to meet regularly with Adrian & Marius (OC 2014) and Justin (OC 2013) also has a desire to meet with Mihai.  Andreea (OC 2014) has begun to attend the girls' Bible study and meet with Diana.   A few of the students from EC 2013 are taking steps and we are very encouraged.”

Bert & Maggie from Ocean City, MD; Elise Olson from near OC, MD; and Sheila Fair (our accountant and fellow church member) joined Steve for EC Cluj.  Cristina (who has spent much of the past two summers in OC, MD helping with our summer project) and her fellow CCC campus staff team helped us greatly.  There were 116 different students who attended at least one session in one of our three classes and 35 of them traveled with us by bus to the mountains of Voronet for a weekend retreat.  The CCC campus team is busy with weekly EC follow up meetings and other activities.  We went to eat together (Cristina, Dana, Florenta & Aura – all from Steve’s class) and we shared about our walk with God with Aura.  We really had a great time together.  Aura told us that she didn't think much about Christianity before she attended EC but that she has started to read from the New Testament that we gave her during EC.”

During EC the students read and discussed Bible passages each night (including the death and resurrection of Jesus) and also heard testimonies from teachers on how to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus.  Please pray that GOD will draw many to Himself during the follow up process as they attend various activities and have the chance to meet one-on-one with CCC campus staff .  It is typically a slow process but GOD is working J

Your friendship, encouragement, prayers and financial support have helped to make all of this possible.  Thanks!  We appreciate you.       Steve & Shelia   4 December 2014
