"What I liked most about this course was that we could share our opinion on different topics, and I think this is a great step to improving our English. It was a very good idea to use the New Testament in our discussions. For me, this was a new thing and I learned a lot of useful things. It made me realize how important the Bible is and that God is with us no matter what. This Club influenced my life in a positive way. Thanks to the teachers, I became a better person, more optimist, and I somehow see things differently now. They were the best teachers I've ever had. I hope one day I'll be like them! :)" Diana Budaca

From mid-September through the end of March, our team helped facilitate 8 English Clubs in 6 different locations. Why not ask GOD whether He wants you to join us on a future EC trip? We believe that if you ask in faith, He will show you.
Our focus has shifted now from overseas English Clubs to Ocean City, MD as we prepare to spend the summer at the beach among 3,000 to 4,000 International Students. Our objective is to get to know these students, build relationships with them, help them experience the love of GOD in practical ways by meeting felt needs (job problems, housing situations, medical emergencies, law enforcement issues, etc.), and explain how they can have a personal relationship with GOD through Jesus. This happens during free meals which are provided by area churches, during our twice-weekly coffee house / English club meetings and through numerous special cultural activities that we arrange (pool parties, boat rides, picnics & bonfires, mini-golf, progressive dinners, water sports, etc.)
Obviously a task this big requires lots of manpower. Besides a number of local partners, there are 5 Ukrainians and 6 Romanians who have applied to serve with us as Student Volunteers. All 11 of these students are believers involved with CRU in campus ministry at home. In addition CRU staff & volunteers from Kazakhstan (3), Moldova (3), Romania (2) and Ukraine (1) are hoping to join us. Please pray that GOD will enable all of them to get their visa and that many students will come to know Jesus this summer! Our first coffee house will be Monday night June 1st.
Next time we hope to introduce you to the Living Faith Ministries website J. During the summer we plan to send out periodic prayer requests, updates and photos via email, so if you are not receiving this electronically, please send us your email address. Thanks so much for partnering with us through your friendship, encouragement, prayer and financial support. We appreciate you!
